A SHORT HISTORY OF AZAD KASHMIR

Azad Kashmir is now a free state and has its own governance. You can Send Parcel to Azad Kashmir without any problem. However; this was not like this, in the past and Kashmir has survived a lot through troubles between Pakistan and India.

During 1947, Pakistan became an independent country by getting divided from India. However; India held its ground and killed many who wanted to escape to Pakistan without the permit.
Soon after, it was known that Kashmiris wanted to have an allegiance with Pakistan and desired to become a part of Pakistan. However; due to many conflicts, it was reasoned that Kashmir will remain an independent land of its own.
This is due to the fact that, Kashmir consists of both Hindus and Muslims. The population can be technically divided in 50 by 50 ratio. Moreover, the ruler of Kashmir does not want to join Pakistan but the citizens do so the decision is always postponed. There have been numerous problems that Kashmiris had to face when Indian Army came into Kashmir and violence and assaults were reported by the civilians. This is all due to the fact that there are people who does not want to join Pakistan.
So, do you think that Pakistan is the rightful owner of Kashmir? No, I do not think like that. I think that if the citizens decide to join Pakistan then they should and they should not be made quiet by higher authorities. This makes the governance rude and the citizens always criticize about that. So it is better to listen to the citizens then to do what you think is right for country.
In my opinion, it should remain independent if it does not have any problem with it.
