10 Tips for Fresh Minibus Drivers

If you are new into this industry and there is no one to guide you about how Taxis work in Greenhithe or what are cautions you should take while doing Airport Transfers in Dartford. Then these 10 tips will become your savior.
  1. Don’t Use Microphone
If you are driving a minibus, then you shouldn’t use your microphones, unless it is an emergency.
  1. Don’t Use Mobile Phone
Using a mobile phone in UK while driving is illegal and also dangerous so it is better to avoid it.
  1. Don’t Talk with Passengers
While talking with passengers formally is necessary, being frank with a passenger is dangerous as it could cause accidents and the passenger who is sitting can manipulate you politely that you will regret.
  1. Ensure Your Passenger’s Behavior
Taxis in Greenhithe ensure that your passenger doesn’t throw off stuff on the road that can cause accidents or obstruction for other drivers. For your and passenger’s safety, put a sticker that says, “DO NOT DISTURB” behind your seat so that the passenger doesn’t disturb whilst you drive securely.
  1. Have Sufficient Stopping Distance
Having a sufficient stopping distance can provide you a reaction time during a sudden accident that can take place during high speeds or in wet weather.
  1. Brake Firmly Only In Straight Lines
Braking while cornering will cause your minibus to destabilize which can cause dangerous accident. It is recommended to slow down while you corner and brake only while driving straight.
  1. Yellow Retro-Reflective Warning Signs
Placing 2 yellow retro reflective warning signs that bears 2 school children means that you have 8 or more passengers (students) as it is obligatory to do so.
  1. While Driving on a Motorway
Always remember to use left hand lane while you drive on the motorway. You can take the right hand lane only if you want to overtake and your minibus weighs less than 7.55 tons.
  1. Don’t Use Your Horn Unless Necessary
Using your horn is annoying and causes noise pollution, especially when you are reversing your vehicle. It is better to avoid it unless there is danger to another vehicle.
  1. Don’t Park Minibus to Cause Obstruction
Whenever you park your minibus, always consider that it should not cause any obstruction to the traffic or any other vehicle. At night, you should keep your parking light on and always park in a near side of the road unless there is a designated parking area.
Keeping these tips and making it a muscle memory will help you drive safe and secure. Your passenger will also like your professional attitude that will make them your repeat customers.
