How Taxi Apps Effect on Minicab Industry

Smartphones pay a high role in our day to day lives. They are not only used for communicating purposes only but are also widely used as an entertainment and guidance platform. In this blog, we will discuss about how smartphones are effecting cabs in UK and what should companies do in order to boost up their customer relationship and annual profit.
A little Introduction of Taxi Apps:
We like to do stuff the easiest way, right? That attribute of our lives have been caught up by many industries to maximize their customer relationship operations and build a strong profit while providing easy services. Most of the leading companies know that and are providing with Apps from where you can buy stuff, make deliveries, reserve a hotel or in this case, hire Cabs in Dartford. These apps like Uber made life much easier because in just one touch, your closest cab will come towards you and pick you up under 5 minutes! How cool is that?
Today, most of the companies that provide transportation have decided to put this on test and they have hired App Developers or Software houses to make an app for them. So that, the customers can easily download it and use it whenever needed. This decision has put many of the transportation services to make their business more profitable. Since technology is advancing people are getting lazy and want to do all their work at the comfort of their own home. This is true and we have to admit it, whether or not we believe it. Taxi Apps are the future of Minicabs.
Taxi Apps Effect on Business in UK:
In 2010, when Uber (US based Tech Company) launched its own Taxi App. Uber made huge business out of it. When it reached in UK, minicab drivers protested against it stating that, “It’s killing our business” and it was true after all. People were testing Taxi Apps more and more because of the convenience it provides and how fast the services were provided. Customer didn’t have to wait for the minibus instead they were telling the driver where they are and the driver who has the advantage will come between 5 – 10 minutes to pick up the customer. That left the TFL minicab drivers under heavy stress. Since then, most of the local companies have started to introduce the Taxi App service to their customers so that a good competition can last. But some of the local companies still face the problem and are being bankrupt because of this technology.
In a Nutshell:
If you are in Greenhithe, you just need to type, “Taxis Greenhithe” or something similar like that you will find most of the transportation companies providing a taxi app for their customers.
